Inventory Control Material Handler

Position Title:  Inventory Control Material Handler
Reports To:       Inventory Manager                    
Scope:    Responsible for insuring accurate picking, moving and distributing of raw materials and components in a timely fashion in accordance with the daily production schedule.

Essential Duties:
•    Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Canberra Corporation Quality System Manual – relating to Inventory Control
•    To reduce incidents, accurately pick raw materials for scheduled batches and for next day’s production. Deliver materials to plants as requested.
•    Pick components as requested for second shift production lines if needed.
•    As needed  process all production work orders and batch records daily including scrap reporting
•    Weigh and return raw materials to correct storage locations.
•    Refill raw material totes as needed following appropriate Cleaning and Sanitizing schedule.
•    Processes move sheets in the system.
•    Processes empty drums for recycling program with vendors and keeps drum area outside clean and organized.
•    Perform scheduled cycle counts and slot integrity checks as necessary.
•    Pull samples of incoming raw materials and Micro samples when required following all procedures to reduce contamination.
•    Plug in picker and pallet jacks.
•    Safely operate sit-down and stand -up lift trucks

Other Daily Tasks:
•    Put away released incoming raw materials from receiving area.
•    Put components away from return racks when required.
•    Keep isle’s, racks and all storage areas clean, neat and organized, insuring all items are properly identified with part numbers and can be easily seen.
•    Work with all members of Canberra team to improve system record accuracy.
•    Perform necessary work projects or back up other inventory job functions as needed.

Physical Inventories:
•    Prepare for and participate in all quarterly/annual physical inventories.
•    Help with data entry and count reconciliation.
•    Research and resolve part variances where needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:
•    Inventory Control person should have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic computer knowledge, and possess the ability to work well with other coworkers or independently.
•    Must be able to lift, move around up to 50lbs.
    In addition, I assume any other responsibilities that are delegated to me on a short-term or long-term basis in order to support corporate initiatives.
