He is a strong advocate for green chemistry and environmental justice, serving on advisory panels for the EPA, ASTM, and Change Chemistry. Roger brings deep technical expertise, real-world insight, and a passion for helping organizations design safer, more sustainable solutions for the future.
Clive Davies is the Senior Director at the Environmental Working Group (EWG), where he leads a team of scientists advancing safer standards across personal care, cleaning, and household products through the EWG Verified® and EWG Reviewed for Science™ programs. His work promotes ingredient transparency, consumer trust, and healthier product innovation, continuing EWG’s mission to protect public health. Before joining EWG, Clive spent over two decades at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he founded and led the Safer Choice program, helping hundreds of companies develop and certify safer, high-performing products. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and remains a leading voice for science-based sustainability and safer chemistry in the marketplace.
